Best Research for Best Health implementation plans
The Government's health research strategy: Best Research for Best Health has a range of related objectives that the NIHR must deliver. We are working to achieve these by using different implementation approaches for each objective, grouped together under six headings.
Each plan sets out its aims and the measures we are putting in place including who will be involved, how it will be funded, and the implementation timetable.
Initially eighteen implementation plans covered each component of the strategy. More detailed plans have since been developed. Some of the plans have been fully implemented and are marked as 'Final'. All active plans are updated twice a year and were last updated in January 2010. The 5.7 Flexibility and Sustainability Funding plan was updated on 22 February 2010 and plan 3.2c was updated on 1 March 2010.
