Committed to better research in the NHS
National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the East Midlands Health Innovation and Education joint health research conference
4 March 2009, East Midlands Conference Centre, University Park, Nottingham
More than 230 delegates from the East Midlands, with a range of different disciplines and backgrounds, attended the Conference. During the day, they were able to meet and discuss the far-reaching changes in the research environment that have been brought about under the Government’s research strategy: Best Research for Best Health and to learn more about the research opportunities available through the NIHR. The conference also launched the East Midlands own Health Research & Development Strategy.
In addition to the plenary sessions there were interactive exhibitions where delegates could talk to representatives from the different NIHR programmes and coordinating centres, try-out on-line demonstrations and take part in up to two inter-active seminars of personal interest.
