Joint NIHR/LSE Open Day

On 22 November 2011, the NIHR’s Research Design Service London together with the London School of Economics (LSE) Health and Social Care and Research Division hosted an open day to showcase funding opportunities available from NIHR.

Professor Martin Knapp from the NIHR School for Social Care Research welcomed delegates, noting the excellent funding opportunities available to both social and health care from NIHR.

The event brought together over 100 health and social care researchers, who heard from representatives of the various NIHR Programmes, the Faculty and the NIHR’s Trainee Coordinating Centre. The afternoon session included seminars on writing a good research proposal and one-to-one surgeries with the NIHR Research Design Service London, as well as providing networking opportunities for delegates.
