Webinar: Compassionate and inclusive leadership

Date

23 February 2021

Time

13:00 to 14:00

Location

Online

Compassionate and inclusive leadership is needed more than ever to help navigate through the significant challenges we are facing.

This one hour webinar will explain how building a compassionate and inclusive culture requires leaders to embody compassion and inclusion in their leadership.

In the longer term, diversity of the public, patients, stakeholders, research, and ideas is driving the need for inclusion as an essential leadership capability.

Compassionate leadership builds support and connection across boundaries, ensuring that all voices are heard in the process of delivering and improving research.

Nurturing a culture of compassion and inclusivity builds on the NIHR’s motivation to improve the health and wealth of the nation through research, creating a sense of belonging and a feeling of being included in achieving the collective mission.

In this webinar you will:

* understand the principles of inclusive and compassionate leadership
* identify the benefits of leading with inclusivity and compassion
* develop and improve your inclusive and compassionate leadership style

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions to the presenters at the end for their live response.

The webinar will be presented by Jo Clare and Mark Blanchard, Senior Consultants from Oakridge, who have extensive experience working with organisations, teams and leaders through behavioural and cultural change.
