The NIHR CollegeThe NIHR College is developing to include the most outstanding leaders of applied health and social care research in England. The College will be made up of three Groups of people:
The NIHR College will:
- provide research leadership to the NIHR Faculty - help in planning and speaking at events, hosting visiting fellows, mentoring clinical trainees etc.;
- provide expert advice to the Director of the NIHR;
- promote clinical and applied people-focused health research in health and social care.
The NIHR College is prestigious body with a programme of events for members including an Annual Conference and awards ceremony. The First Annual Conference was held on 24 September 2008, with the next to take place in Autumn 2009.
