The UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) published the UK Health Research Analysis 2009/10 report on 19 November 2012. The report has complied information from the 12 largest public and charitable funders of medical research in the UK.

It is only the second time that such a detailed analysis of health research has been carried out in the UK, and the report compares what funders spent on health research in 2004/05 with 2009/10. The report shows that direct spend on health research projects by the 12 organisations is 50% higher in real terms in 2009/10 compared with 2004/05.
