Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust has won a prestigious national award for the work it has done to develop clinical research activity across the Trust. The HSJ “Progressive Research Culture Award”, sponsored by the NIHR’s Clinical Research Network, was awarded to Southampton for launching a number of initiatives to encourage consultants and nurses to be aware of research, and take part in clinical studies that could benefit patients.
