The NIHR Medicines for Children Research Network has achieved first global patient for MCRN194 in paediatric respiratory.  This was achieved on Tuesday 16 July at Queen’s Medical Centre.  This takes the running total of first global patients for 2013/14 to 11.
 
The NIHR Medicines for Children Research Network has also achieved first European patient for MCRN155 in paediatric diabetes, endrocine and metabolic medicine.  This was achieved on Thursday 4 July at Leicester Royal Infirmary.  This takes the running total of first European patients for 2013/14 to three.
 
Further to this, we have also been notified of a first global patient from 2012/13 that has not previously been reported:
 
The NIHR Medicines for Children Research Network achieved first global patient for MCRN197 in hereditary tyrosinemia type 1.  This was achieved on Friday 9 November at St Mary’s Hospital Manchester.  This means the total number of first global patients for 2012/13 is 12. *Please note that any old figures for 2012/13 in reports will need updating to include this.
