Its remit includes the normal development, function and diseases of the ear, nose and throat and related aspects of hearing, balance, smell and speech.
NIHR 'Improving Healthcare through Clinical Research' MOOC opens for registration after 18K learner successThe National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network (CRN) is launching the fourth Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) after thousands signed up to learn about research since the MOOC first began in November 2015. The 'Improving Healthcare Through Clinical Research' MOOC is open for registration and will start on 22 May. The NIHR CRN teamed up with the University of Leeds and FutureLearn in November 2015 to develop the MOOC, which to date has seen over 18 thousand registrations from people wanting to learn more about how research can improve healthcare, from all over the world.

- The NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) is inviting NIHR Clinical Research Nurses from across the country to attend the fifth International Nurses Day event on 12 May 2017. The free one day event is organised by the NIHR CRN each year to mark the celebration of International Nurses Day. This years event is focused around 'Contributing to new futures: Clinical research nurses, voices that lead' and will consider the impact that clinical research nurses make now and in the future in a changing healthcare landscape.
