NHS Information Reporting Service Shared Infrastructure

The Research Capability Programme has commissioned the development of a draft set of requirements for the NHS Information Reporting Service (NIRS) Shared Infrastructure. 

It is envisaged that this shared infrastructure will be used for the delivery of the NIHR's Health Research Support Service (HRSS) and the NHS Information Centre’s (NHS IC) NHS Analysis and Reporting Service (NARS).

The requirements are draft and subject to further change. In addition, any potential procurement is subject to approval from the Secretary of State for Health.

The draft documents are being published to give visibility of the work to date and to allow interested parties to provide feedback. Anyone wishing to give feedback on the documentation should email hrss@dh.gsi.gov.uk. Please note that whilst we appreciate feedback, we are not be obliged to reflect any or all views submitted, in any further drafting of the requirements. 

In addition, publication of these draft documents does not signify the start of a procurement exercise or confirm that one will take place.
