Professor Brian Davidson
Professor Brian Davidson is Chair of the London Regional Advisory Committee for the NIHR Research for Patient Benefit Programme.
Brian is a consultant hepatobiliary, pancreatic and liver transplant surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital and Professor of Surgery at UCL.
His major research interests are in Evidence based Healthcare (Director of UCL MSc), Clinical Trials, pathogenesis of HPB cancers and novel surgical technologies.
Brian is editor of the UK Cochrane HPB Group. Has completed 6 clinical trials in surgery, published 548 peer reviewed articles including 115 Cochrane reviews of which 64 are in National or International Guidelines.
He has successfully supervised 15 MSc, 18 MD and 11 PhD students. He has achieved a grant income of £21M in last 10 years.
