Adam Galloway represents early career researchers on the NIHR Strategy Board.
Adam is a specialist children’s physiotherapist at Leeds Children’s Hospital and NIHR Integrated Clinical Academic (ICA) Clinical Doctoral Research Fellow (CDRF) at the NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre. He has previously completed two NIHR awards in MSc Clinical Research Methods and NIHR ICA Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowship.
As part of his CDRF award, Adam will explore the non-surgical treatment of Perthes’ disease in children, an orthopaedic condition in which the hip joint of the child collapses due to poor blood supply. This will include the development of a digital complex intervention to support children and their families in managing this condition.
