Kate Jones is the NIHR Clinical Research Network's Director of Research Delivery.
Kate Jones obtained her PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Manchester in 1994 and worked in scientific research for a number of years. In 2000, Kate joined Keele University as a research fellow and began working in healthcare research. This led to Kate joining the NHS as a governance lead in 2004.
Kate joined the West Midlands Stroke Research Network (WMSRN) as network manager in 2006 and remained in post until her relocation to Cambridgeshire in 2014. After a short period as a senior research fellow at University of East Anglia and a role as an operations manager at Addenbrookes, Kate took up post as cross cutting RDM and acting IOM for CRN: Eastern in January 2016. This post also provided maternity cover for the deputy COO at CRN:Eastern. Kate took up post as Chief Operating Officer for CRN : Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS) in January 2017.
