Samantha Liscio is the Chief Technology Information Officer at the NIHR Clinical Research Network.
Samantha has returned to the UK from Canada where she was recognized as Canada’s CIO of the Year (2020) in the Public Sector category, for the work she and her teams had done to lead digital transformation. Samantha leverages technology to streamline processes and modernise business models, while driving digital service excellence and directing innovation.
She has more than 20 years of experience in IT leadership roles in government, healthcare and the private sector. Samantha has served on the Ryerson University IT Business Management Program Advisory Council, the CIO Association Toronto Chapter Board of Directors and the Toronto CIO Governing Body. She is a past board chair for Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention and a past board member of the Institute for Citizen-Centred Services. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a PhD from Queen's University in Belfast.
