Branding

Launched on 5 February, our new, independent brand allows us to unify our organisation in a cohesive and consistent way, identifying ourselves and our funding as well as enabling us to acknowledge our partnerships with the NHS and others.

Who is it for?

Whether you are from an NIHR-funded research team or organisation, or we have otherwise enabled your research, you will find what you need here to fulfil acknowledgement of our funding, support or designation.  

Using our guidelines and artwork, you can implement our brand elements to add to your websites, social media, research outputs and other communications or marketing materials. Templates have also been developed for slides, research posters and other applications.

What’s changed?

From 5 February 2019, our new identity supersedes all previous versions and applies to:

  • All NIHR communications and NIHR-funded and/or supported work

  • Any new signage, digital or print communications with immediate effect

  • All existing digital in time for International Clinical Trials Day (May 2019)

  • All existing print from 1 January 2020.

We have a new logo and sub-logos, colour palette, typeface and motifs for design (see brand elements).

Other changes:

  • Revised disclaimer

  • Discontinuation of the colour bar (so new ones should not be created).
