Purpose

We recommend that the following text is included in your award letter. The purpose of this text is to:

  • Highlight your NIHR non-commercial Partner status to researchers.
  • Outline the benefits this partnership can offer researchers, including the services we can provide.
  • Encourage researchers to engage with the NIHR Study Support Service as early as possible. This will enable us to to support delivery of the studies you fund to the agreed time lines and study recruitment targets.

[Organisation name] is a NIHR non-commercial Partner. This means the studies that we fund may be eligible to access the NIHR study Support Service which is provided by the NIHR Clinical Research Network, researchers to plan, place and perform their research.

If your study is conducted within the NHS, public health or social care in England, we expect you to apply for NIHR Clinical Research Network support.

If you have not already done so, please contact your Local Clinical Research Network for advice on how the NIHR Clinical Research Network can support your study and how to make your application. Early conversations will allow you to fully benefit from the support offered through the NIHR Study Support Service.
