Workshop: Leading authentically in a virtual world

Date

09 March 2022

Time

10:30 to 12:00

Location

Online

We are not always sure about the style of leader we should be, and often feel there is a particular role we need to play when leading teams. The challenge of leading in a virtual world makes it even more difficult to show ourselves authentically. Authentic leaders inspire those they lead because they are self-aware, develop open and transparent relationships, stay true to their values and behave with integrity.

Join our 90 minute interactive virtual workshop to take part in discussions and breakout sessions to explore what authentic leadership is and learn about how to build your authentic leadership brand.

In this session you will:

  • Consider the principles of authentic leadership and why it's important to be an authentic leader
  • Learn how to identify your purpose, personal values and strengths and how they align to the organisation and the work that you do
  • Develop the ability to create a leadership profile and vision to help you become a more authentic leader

To indicate your interest in attending this virtual workshop, please submit an expression of interest form by 12 midday on Wednesday 2 March. If selected, selected you will receive confirmation of your place by close of business on Thursday 3 March.

Please note that places are limited to 16 participants per event. As we expect a high level of demand, places will be allocated to ensure a fair representation across the NIHR leaders community and prioritising those who have not participated in the programme previously.

Please save the date in your diary. As we expect a high level of demand, if you have confirmed attendance, and find that you are unable to attend, please give us as much notice as possible so that we can invite others on our waiting list.
