This workshop forms part of our modular leadership programme, which is designed for leaders who are leading a team in any context. You may be a manager of others, leading a research project, and/or working collaboratively to develop research grant applications. You are likely to be developing your approach to leadership, or to be an experienced leader who wishes to reflect on your practice and explore new approaches to leadership.
Who can attend?
- NIHR Research Leaders: NIHR staff with a substantive leadership role (leading large teams and/or cross-NIHR projects)
- NIHR Academy Members: at least two years post-PHD on a NIHR-funded training award
The workshop, delivered online over two half-days, explores your purpose, values and strengths and supports you to consider how these influence your approaches to leadership. With a focus on developing authenticity as a leader, this module will provide a framework for developing your own leadership profile and vision to put into practice in your leadership role.
Please note that you will need to be available to attend both the half-day workshops on the dates below:
Workshop Part 1: 28 January 2021, 13:30 – 16:30 (online)
Workshop Part 2: 2 February 2021, 13:30 – 16:30 (online)
