NIHR Masters Studentships in Medical Statistics

Round 3 of the NIHR funded Masters Studentships in Medical Statistics Scheme closed on 4th December 2015 for applications from institutions. You can view the list of relevant institutions who will be hosting these studentships in academic years 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19.

The purpose of the NIHR-funded Masters Studentships in Medical Statistics Scheme is to increase the numbers (capacity) and skills (capability) of individuals with high-level expertise in a critical discipline underpinning applied health research.

Tenders for funding through this initiative must be made by organisations that already have an established Masters course in medical statistics. The NIHR provides support to institutions for 16 studentships per annum over a 3 year period. The courses will prepare graduates for future research at PhD level or employment in a research-related capacity in academia, industry or the NHS. In addition to taught modules, successful courses will offer a significant element of practical research experience.

The Invitation to Tender can be downloaded, for information only, from the Related Content section of this webpage.
