Webinar and virtual clinics

We will be holding a webinar to discuss this funding opportunity, on 11 January 2021, 9:30-10:30. The webinar will be followed by virtual clinics from 10:30-13:30. This will provide an opportunity for potential applicants to discuss their proposed research with the NIHR team, and where possible, Research Design Service (RDS) colleagues.

Applicants may register to attend just the webinar by emailing their name and institution to crossprogramme@nihr.ac.uk. If you would like to also join a clinic, please send a one-page PICO summary of your proposed project to crossprogramme@nihr.ac.uk, by 5pm on 4 January 2021.

As places are limited, we will then review the submissions and confirm whether you have a place. The intention is for the one-page summary to provide a basis for discussion at the clinic. Please note that there is no guarantee of funding by attending a clinic; the purpose of the clinics is to offer assistance, and advice to potential applicants.

Timescales

Stage 1 applications received by 1pm on 30 March 2021, and deemed within remit, will be assessed by an NIHR committee during May/June 2021. Shortlisted applicants will be expected to complete a Stage 2 proposal which will be assessed for scientific quality, feasibility and value for money during September/October 2021. Successful applicants will be expected to start work during early 2022.
