The Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation (EME) Programme is accepting stage 1 applications to their commissioned workstream. The Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme also has an interest in this area. Applicants wishing to submit studies focussed on evaluating interventions which already have some evidence to show that they can be effective, should refer to the parallel HTA funding opportunity.

All primary research projects are expected to establish a programme-appointed Study Steering Committee, and it is important that you read the Research Governance Guidelines before completing your application. Costs incurred by this committee should be included in the budget as appropriate.
