The NIHR is launching a new, open competition to establish a Secure Data Environment (SDE) to receive, store, link and analyse patient data generated by the NIHR Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration (MH-TRC).
The NIHR MH-TRC is a network of leading investigators who specialise in early-stage translational mental health research. In May 2023, the MH-TRC was awarded £42.7 million by the NIHR and the Office for Life Sciences to address a significant unmet need for new treatment options for people with mental health conditions through the Life Sciences Mental Health Mission.
The purpose of this funding is to deliver a SDE to support federation, storage and analysis of research data generated and collected through the NIHR MH-TRC which can be linked with other health and health related datasets.
This must be developed and built on top of existing SDE investments rather than creating a new standalone SDE and be able to interoperate with the NHS Research SDE Network.
Applicants should download and complete an application form (word document) and finance form (excel spreadsheet).
Both forms must be submitted to: infrastructure@nihr.ac.uk
The submission deadline for proposals is 13:00 on Wednesday, 11 December 2024.
