Research funding is a precious resource, it feeds innovation and progress in the NHS. With a large proportion of non-commercial research funding being paid for by the public, through charities and government funded initiatives, we all have a duty to ensure those pennies are well spent. The NIHR has long strived to achieve this by creating the world’s first fully integrated research system which promotes productivity and eradicates inefficiencies. We take a look at how the NIHR Clinical Research Network’s Funder Engagement Project is contributing to that goal.
