The Respiratory Disorders specialty attained their first global success at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on 27 November 2017 in a Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease study.

The Metabolic and Endocrine specialty received their first global patient on 21 June 2017 at Oldfield Surgery in Bath in a diabetic macular edema study.

Finally, the Respiratory Disorders specialty recruited a first global patient on 1 October 2017 at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust.

Recruiting a first global patient is a key performance indicator for the global life-sciences industry in clinical research delivery as it shows the Network can support the rapid set-up and recruitment of studies.
