Research staff in Thames Valley honoured at awards event

Healthcare staff working on NHS research in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire were honoured at an awards event in Buckinghamshire last night.

The Third Thames Valley Health Research Awards was held in the Old Town Hall, High Wycombe and organised by the NIHR Clinical Research Network Thames Valley and South Midlands (LCRN), which supports research into conditions such as cancer and diabetes.

Almost 30 research teams and members of staff such as doctors, nurses and researchers were shortlisted by a panel of LCRN judges after being nominated by their colleagues for their contribution to NHS research.
