NIHR Let's Get Digital competition

The NIHR encourages you to “get digital”!

Date: 06 April 2017

The NIHR Let’s Get Digital Competition has launched today (6 April 2017). The competition is designed to recognise those people involved in NIHR research using video, photography, websites, infographics and online communities to promote research.

The new competition has five categories: video, photography, online community, website and infographic. Entries are expected to demonstrate how exciting and interesting NIHR research is. Winning entries will be used to help spread the word about how vital research is to the development of new and better treatments in the NHS.

Speaking about the competition, Caroline Magee, a Deputy Director at the NIHR said:

“We know that there are lots of people involved in NIHR research who are already using digital technology to promote research, explain their research projects and disseminate results - and we want to encourage even more people to do so.

“We are expecting to see entries that demonstrate what NIHR research looks like in real life, its impact, the benefits of taking part and the diversity of the NIHR research workforce and the type of research the NIHR funds. I’m really looking forward to seeing all of the entries!”

The competition is open until Friday 30 June 2017. Winning entries will be promoted across the NIHR’s communications channels and the winning applicants will be invited to a special training session at Google’s headquarters in London to learn about all things digital.

Each category has specific eligibility requirements. Visit www.nihr.ac.uk/getdigital for more details and to download the guidance notes.
