CRN Wessex will host a free anaesthesia-specific principal investigator (PI) training day on Monday 13 May 2019. The training, which will take place from 09:30 to 15:30 in Hedge End Southampton, aims to increase recruitment to the portfolio of national anaesthesia research studies across the Wessex region.
The training is aimed at both senior trainees and new or established consultant who are interested in clinical research but not sure how to get involved or would like to take on a new research project at their hospital in the future. The course is also open to those who are currently or have previously acted as a local lead for a national research project (e.g. ISOS, SNAP, DREAMY, PQIP, DALES, WesFit, FLO-ELA) and who would like further training.

This interactive day will be run by experienced research staff from Wessex trusts and the Wessex CRN, and will be facilitated by Dr Mark Edwards, the Wessex specialty group lead for anaesthesia. There will be free parking and lunch provided.
