Give patient views
We partner with patients at all the stages of the research process, from the identification of research priorities to the dissemination of research findings. You can help us shape health research by taking part in clinical trials, reviewing research proposals for the NIHR programmes, sitting on commissioning panels, giving advice on research projects and helping to make sure good research is heard about.
We work with many charities and patient groups to raise public awareness and knowledge on research and encourage patients to take part in research.
If you are interested in getting involved in research you can talk to INVOLVE.
If you would like to participate in a clinical trial you can visit the UK Clinical Trials Gateway.
Free online course: ‘Improving healthcare through clinical research’
How are treatments and cures discovered? What is the impact of clinical research? How do we undertake clinical research? Why do we do clinical research?
The NIHR is running this free course from 7 November 2016. You can discover the answer to these questions and many more by registering to join the next NIHR’s Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). The course is for anyone wanting to learn more about clinical research. Sign up online.
