Decide which programme to apply to
Researchers can apply for a number of different types of funding from NIHR’s global health research programmes.
The diversity of our funding programmes creates a balanced portfolio of research that addresses both global health priorities and the context-specific needs of communities in low and middle income countries (LMICs).
We fund research projects on specific topics through our commissioned funding calls. We also invite researchers to submit proposals on topics of their choice through our researcher-led calls.
Funding amounts and duration vary by programme and, in some cases, by funding call. Please check the guidance documents for individual funding opportunities to confirm.
