The Health Services and Delivery Research Programme is seeking to appoint members to its funding committees.
This opportunity is for Health and Social Care Professionals and Research Academics.
We would welcome applications from experts from a range of areas within both the health care and social care communities. In particular we would welcome applications from the following areas: commissioning/service management; social care, especially children’s services; dentistry/oral health; geriatric care; emergency medicine; and, pharmacy/medicines management.
Applicants should have previous experience at a senior level within their area of expertise and have a significant record of research and publication, or extensive senior management experience within the NHS or Social Care.
The HS&DR committees assess the importance of proposed research and its scientific merit for both the commissioned and researcher-led workstreams, including themed calls and evidence synthesis proposals, and makes funding recommendations.

The term of office will commence in late 2020/early 2021. Travel, accommodation and expenses will be paid. The committees meet three times a year, usually on a Wednesday and Thursday in central London, and each meeting will require a substantial amount of preparation.
