Senior/experienced representatives from UK based Local Authorities and public bodies (Ref - PHRPC/20/03)

The Public Health Research (PHR) programme is seeking to appoint members to the Prioritisation Committee.

This opportunity is for current UK based Local Authority and public health body employees working at a senior level and/or with a breadth of experience within the sector. We encourage applications from all four countries of the UK.

The PHR programme funds approximately £13m of UK based Public Health research every year. It is keen to fund research that is of importance and relevance to Public Health practice.

The role of the Prioritisation Committee is to advise the Programme Director on the identification and prioritisation of a broad range of public health research topics, the prioritisation of research proposals and to help steer the development of the programme.

The term of office is 4 years starting from January 2021. Travel and expenses will be paid. The committee meets three times a year, usually in January, May and September.
