Thirteen NIHR researchers have been elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences (FMedSci). This includes four NIHR Research Professors and nine NIHR Senior Investigators.
The award is in recognition of exceptional contribution to biomedical and health research. This includes research discoveries and developments that have led to benefits.
The new Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS) Fellows will be admitted at an event on 12 July. They join a Fellowship of over 1,400 esteemed researchers. Their roles include providing career support to the next generation of researchers. They also contribute to the AMS policy work to improve health in the UK and globally.
