Peter Thompson
Peter Thompson is Director of NIHR Academy Programmes.
Peter has overall responsibility for NIHR's research training programmes, through four programme teams:
- Personal Awards
- Integrated Pathways
- Infrastructure and Capacity Building Structure
- Global Health.
He also has overall responsibility for the information, business intelligence and impact functions for NIHR Academy Programmes.
Previously, Peter worked as a research chemist in the pharmaceutical industry and as a post-doctoral researcher in academia.
