Scene One: Grandad's living room
[Grandad sat in his chair, looking at a photo of his granddaughter in a frame on the coffee table.]

[Grandad then walks to the kitchen, holding his side in pain. He checks the calendar to see when his oncologist appointment is.]

Scene Two: Mother’s kitchen
[Mother in the kitchen, daughter in frame drawing]

Radio presenter: "Hundreds of thousands of people up and down the country have volunteered to take part in health research to find new treatments for conditions such as cancer and diabetes. NIHR, or the National Institute for Health and Care Research, are on the lookout for volunteers [voice fades out]"

Scene Three: Mother’s garden

[Mother and grandad sit together looking at a laptop. She is seen showing Grandad the Be Part of Research website. Mother finger points to computer screen and heading that says "115 studies found for Prostate cancer". Grandad, emotional, embraces his daughter.]

Scene Four: Grandad is in a waiting room
[Grandad's phone buzzes. He looks at the phone – it's a video message from his daughter. His Granddaughter is holding a homemade 'Get Well Soon' card. She says, "I miss you, Grandad."]


Scene Five: Granddaughter's Bedroom
[Granddaughter asks, "When am I going to see Grandad?". Mum replies, “I don’t know”]

Scene Six: Consultation room
[Consultant shows grandad his prostate scan on a computer screen. The consultant delivers bad news, grandad looks worried and sad]

Scene Six: Grandad's home
[Grandad taking a tablet out of his tablet box with the days of the week on.]

Scene Seven: Granddaughter's house
[Granddaughter playing alone in her garden, visibly bored.]

Scene Eight: Grandad's home
[Grandad taking more tablets out of his tablet box with the days of the week on.]

Scene Nine: Hospital main entrance
[Grandad seen arriving at the hospital.]

Scene Ten: Granddaughter's house

[Grandad rings doorbell, and Mum opens the front door.]

Grandad says: “Hello, love”

[Granddaughter hears who it is and sprints to greet Grandad.]

Granddaughter sees Grandad and says, "Grandad."

[Grandad and Granddaughter embrace – he picks her up, spins her around, big hugs and smiles.]

Scene seventeen.
