NIHR204225: A pilot programme to evaluate the real-world clinical use of PredictSURE IBD, a prognostic test that predicts severity of future disease course for patients diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The study will evaluate the impact of implementation of the test and treatment guidance information within existing care pathways, including treatment paradigms & resultant changes in costs, to support discussions with commissioners about reimbursement of PredictSURE IBD following National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) approval. The pilot will further explore the physicians’ and patients’ understanding of the test and resultant guidance and assess their view on its impact on patient understanding, outcomes and quality of life.
