Welcome and Introductions

Chair - Professor Joe Jarvis and Professor Venkat Narayan officially welcomed everyone to the meeting and introduced themselves.

Purpose of the meeting and process for accessing applications


The Chair (Professor Joe Jarvis) reminded the Funding Committee about the assessment criteria, process for assessing the applications and the purpose of the meeting; to make recommendations to the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) on which applications should proceed to Stage 2 and which applications should be rejected at Stage 1. A video on unconscious bias was shown to the Committee following a practice voting.
