On Wednesday, 08 February 2023, NIHR is hosting an all day, in-person event in Central London to bring together researchers and interested stakeholders in work and health research. This event follows on from the virtual event held in December 2022 which aimed to introduce plans for the launch of the NIHR Work and Health Development Awards and engage with the community to better understand how the NIHR could further support this community. We received helpful and constructive feedback from this event which we are currently incorporating into this event and the research specification for the development awards.

This Symposium is an opportunity to further outline the NIHR support and funding available for the work and health community, bring the community together to network and share ideas and continue to create a community of knowledge and practice in work and health. We will also be using Padlet software to allow those who register for the event to pre-network with other interested individuals to allow conversations and connections to happen early on.
This event is free and open to all: researchers, general public, employers, charities, academics, occupational health professionals, health and social care professionals and any health and work stakeholders or those with an interest in work and health research. As this is an in-person event, spaces are limited.

- Networking and facilitating collaborations in the work and health research community
- Present available NIHR funding and support
The agenda will include:
- Keynote Speech from Professor Dame Carol Black
- Overview of the NIHR Work and Health Development Award Competition
- Elevator pitch sessions
- Presentations on NIHR funding and support
- Allocated networking time and more
