An integral part of research that is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is to ensure that patients, carers and the public have the opportunity to shape and influence health and care research.

The NIHR is committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and we recognise the importance of facilitating inclusive opportunities that bring together people with different experiences and backgrounds to improve the quality and the impact of the research we fund.

This 90-minute webinar is aimed at NIHR-funded researchers and staff accountable for PPI.

It will cover:

  • the barriers to incorporating EDI in PPI and how to overcome them
  • practical guidance, tips and resources on how to adapt a PPI programme to incorporate EDI successfully
