We offer a range of research training awards for public health professionals.

Which research training programme is right for you?

Your professional background, setting and how you wish to balance your academic career will determine which programme is best for you.

Most programmes are available from Masters level to post-doctoral.

Integrated Clinical and Practitioner Academic Programme

For those wishing to combine research with continued practice, and develop a clinical or practitioner academic career. Not applicable for doctors.

Local Authority Short Placement Award for Research Collaboration (LA SPARC Scheme)

If you work in a local authority setting, you could apply for a short placement/taster opportunity within NIHR to experience research from a different perspective and enhance your career, skills and networks.
