Professor Karen Bloor
Professor Karen Bloor is the Chair of NIHR's Policy Research Programme.
Karen is Professor of Health Economics and Policy at the University of York, and co-lead (with Richard Murray at the King's Fund) of the NIHR Policy Research Programme fast-response analysis facility, PREPARE (Partnership for Responsive Policy Analysis and Research).
Professor Bloor's research applies economic thinking to health policy, and she has particular research interests in the NHS workforce, particularly medical labour markets, practice variations, pay and productivity; and regulation of the pharmaceutical industry.
