Professor Kara Hanson
Professor Kara Hanson is Director of the Global Health Research Programme.
Kara is Professor of Health System Economics and Dean of the Faculty of Public Health and Policy at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
She was the founding director of what is now the Global Health Economics Centre (GHECO) at LSHTM and is President of the International Health Economics Association. She recently chaired the Lancet Global Health Commission on Financing Primary Health Care.
