Request an open access reimbursement (closed awards only)

This form is for requests related to the NIHR Open Access policy and funding guidance. The form should be used by award holders to notify NIHR of open access spend post financial reconciliation, to enable reimbursement to the contractor. This form can only be used in relation to awards with closure dates after 1 June 2022. Any funding provided to support Open Access publications will be paid direct to the institution that holds the NIHR funding award, in line with other costs paid under the contract. The funding will only be paid where the institution holding the NIHR funding award confirms that it accepts and agrees to comply with the NIHR Open Access Publication Policy, NIHR Open Access Publication Policy Guidance and NIHR Open Access Publications Funding Guidance.

This application relates to reimbursement of spend to support Open Access publications arising from research supported by the NIHR research contract referenced above. It cannot be used to reimburse spend to support other publications.
